Dong Zhi also known as Winter Solstice in English is a tradition practiced by Chinese. The little round dumplings are made from glutinous rice and boiled in syrup made from Pandan leaves. The round dumplings means reunion among family members. This galley is taken in my college when we were practicing this special tradition.
